A canine officer pursued Gaeta after she was suspected of hitting a police vehicle at a red light. When the pursuit ended at a dead-end Gaeta drove backwards into the officer's vehicle, and the officer fired eighteen times. When Gaeta pulled forward and reversed away from the officer, the officer fired more than a dozen times.
